Another honour for Prophet VC Zitha

Xikundu church has honoured the Phalaborwa top cleric in its 10 year anniversary celebrations

The Mighty God Christian Church based at Xikundu-Xifaxani in the Collins Chabane Local Municipality in Limpopo and led by pastor cum actor Masenyani Thomas Malungani, popularly known as Ndhunakulu has given credit where it is due.
At its ten year anniversary celebrations last Saturday, the church honoured world renowned man of God Prophet VC Zitha, he of the Salvation in Christ Ministry at Matiko-Xikaya outside Phalaborwa.
The church draws people from all over the world and they are attracted by the prophet’s reputation as an anointed man of God.

Malungani was a longstanding pastor for the Apostolic Faith Mission when in 2014, he was sacked by his church which disagreed with his role as an actor.
He has since started the Mighty God Christian Church and it was celebrating ten years of its existence on Saturday.
He is now performing both his pastoral and acting roles with aplomb.
In its statement, the Salvation church hailed the MGCC for honouring Prophet VC Zitha.

The church said in a statement:” Prophet VC Zitha has expressed heart felt gratitude to be invited to such a glorious event and to be awarded a certificate together with other recipients. The prophet was also given the honour to preset a certificate to Dr Thomas Chauke for his role in the promotion of Xitsonga culture and heritage and the uplifting of Xitsonga language through music.”

The local chief the late Hosi John Xikundu urged him not to go back to Rivala in the Greater Giyani Local municipality and gave him a stand to start his own church.
At the anniversary celebrations the church awarded certificates to traditional leaders for their role in community development.
The church awarded certificates to well known musicians for their promotion of Xitsonga culture.
Musicians honoured by the church were Dr Thomas Hasani Chauke, Elias Baloyi, Penny Penny and MC Mabasa.

Local business people were also honoured.
Prophet VC Zitha did not respond at the event.
But the church from its headquarters in Matiko-Xikaya on the Greater Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality released a statement about the event.

The church said prophet Zitha does not usually go to events because of the nature of his work but went there because of his sustained friendship with Ndhunakulu that started around 2012.
When the Salvation in Christ Ministry turned 1 year in 2013, pastor Malungani honoured an invitation and attended the event.
“Prophet VC Zitha reciprocated and attended the launch of the Mighty God Christian Church at Xikundu in 2014,”said the statement from Salvation in Christ Ministry.
Pastor Malungani praised the prophet and said he was a man of tremendous responsibilities who because of his humbleness managed to come to Xikundu.

“Since we knew each other, he does not abandon us” he said.
At the event, Prophet VC Zitha was accompanied by a select group of pastors from Gauteng, Polokwane, Tzaneen and other areas who were joined by those from Malamulele and adjacent areas. They were also joined by Dr Chauke, or Xinyori as he is called.
Last year Prophet VC Zitha received another honour from Lulekani Primary school.
After the school’s high riding netball team’s Under 12 team brought the bacon home by winning the National tourney in Boksburg, the came back to appreciate the prophet and presented him with a certificate and a letter of appreciation.
